This specialised die is optimised for full compliance with ASTM D3574, the industry-standard benchmark for testing flexible cellular materials like slab, bonded, and moulded urethane foams.
Because flexible foams are prone to tearing and uneven compression during the cutting process, the die features a finely honed, precision-bevelled edge.
This ensures clean, vertical edges and repeatable sample dimensions for highly accurate tensile strength, elongation, and tear resistance evaluations.
