Fabric Vertical Burn Tester - Type B measures the flame spread properties of vertically oriented textile fabrics. For example, apparel, curtains and draperies in the form of a single or multi component fabrics. To test the material, the test sample is held vertically in a frame. A small flame ignites the specimen. The time that the flame takes to spread up the specimen determines the result. Thus, the Fabric Vertical Burn Tester - Type B is useful for textile quality testing. The instrument operates by applying a ignition flame from a burner. This is for a certain period of time. The flame spread time is the time in seconds. That is time for the flame to travel between marker threads. The Gas Burner is flexible in terms of its position. Which changes according to the test. The equipment allows Surface ignition and Edge ignition. The flame application time is under control. This is because timing devices allow this feature. Also including the after-flame time and/or the afterglow time. This process is automatic.
